Ubisoft’s open-world game Steep was originally released this past December. The game boasts a massive world set in the Alps, and now it appears the terrain is about to get even bigger.
Ubisoft is confirming the first major add-on for Steep is out now. The free DLC delivers a brand-new region in the form of Alaska. This is of course in addition to the massive setting of the Alps, which is part of the full game. Gamers can download the free DLC now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Steep’s new region unlocks a total of 21 new challenges for gamers to experience. There are several new branded challenges as well as a new Mountain Story. Two new invitational contests will bring players together in a new competitive environment. There will be plenty of new opportunities for players to grab some XP.
You can view a brand-new trailer that showcases the vast land you’ll find in the new region. Its towering mountains, in-town corridors and powdery goodness make Alaska look incredibly fun to tear up.
New items and costumes are coming to Steep, and they will give players plenty of chances to customize their “lines and replays.” Gamers will be able to check out new camera angles and capture replay videos sans the in-game HUD.
Steep is available now for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The open-world game is a wonderfully entertaining experience that touches on the nostalgia of a game like SSX, while still establishing itself in a very unique way.
I expect there to be other region additions to Steep in the months ahead. Right now, you can pick up Steep on Amazon for $29.99 if you have yet to experience the title. Stick around here at We Write Things for more on Steep.
