UPDATE: Here is the first official trailer for Nintendo Switch, previously codenamed NX. Enjoy!

ORIGINAL: Through all of the discussions surrounding PS4 Pro and Project Scorpio, gamers have yet to hear anything from Nintendo. The company, which confirmed earlier this year that it would release Nintendo NX in March 2017, has now put gamers on notice.

Nintendo has formally announced that tomorrow will be when they reveal Nintendo NX. While it doesn’t sound like there will be loads of details surrounding the system revealed, this is what Nintendo stated:

“Visit Nintendo.com on Thursday, October 20 at 7 a.m. PT and 10 a.m. ET to be among the first to discover Nintendo NX. This preview trailer will serve as Nintendo’s preliminary announcement of information regarding the platform,” Nintendo wrote. The following image is displayed currently at Nintendo.com as well.

There have been miles and miles of rumors suggesting the Nintendo NX will be a hybrid system. The combination of both a home console and an on-the-go device has been what many have suggested. There are a lot of questions surrounding the specs and power of the system.

Will Nintendo try and create a platform that competes with Project Scorpio and PS4 Pro? The answer is unlikely. Extensive reports from earlier this year pinned the console as a more powerful console than the Wii U, but not the PS4 Pro or Scorpio.

Will the Nintendo NX launch at a lower price like the Wii U and Wii did? Some reports say the answer to that is yes. PS4 Pro is already going to launch at $399 and many expect Project Scorpio to cost around the same if not a bit more. You’d think the Nintendo NX would be checking in around $299 or $349.

Will the Nintendo NX be completely backwards compatible with the Nintendo Wii U? Considering their system most likely won’t be a player with Sony and Microsoft from the standpoint of power, it has to be backwards compatible.

Will the Nintendo NX still launch this coming March 2017? That is the date Nintendo last provided, however, given the timing of tomorrow’s reveal, it wouldn’t be a shock to see the console pushed back into later 2017. These questions and more will gradually be answered tomorrow and in the days following. Stick around here at We Write Things for more on the Nintendo NX.
