What is easily one of my most anticipated games of 2017, South Park: The Fractured But Whole is only a matter of days away from releasing. In development for the past handful of years, The Fractured But Whole is the sequel to the 2013 surprise hit, South Park: The Stick of Truth.
The game has endured several delays since being revealed a few years ago. However, it looks like Ubisoft has reached the completion of South Park: The Fractured But Whole‘s initial development. The publisher is confirming the upcoming RPG has gone gold, meaning it’s ready for its Oct. 17 release date. To celebrate, Ubisoft released a brand-new trailer.
Ubisoft is bringing back the newest iteration in the South Park video game series, as gamers assume the role of a hero of their choosing. Will you play as an alien, high-tech wonder or a genetically-altered mutant? It’s your choice when you step into The Fractured But Whole.
Developers ended up putting a greater emphasis on combat by adding new features to it. In addition to its turn-based mechanic, gamers can now move their characters as they battle enemies. New abilities and attacks are coming with the sequel as well as some new and some familiar locations.
With its Oct. 17 release date less than a month away, anticipation continues to grow. Ubisoft will release South Park: The Fractured But Whole next month for PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X and PC. Stick around here at We Write Things for more on South Park.
