With the beta long behind and launch only a few weeks away, Activision and Bungie are getting ready for the launch of Destiny 2. The game is going to launch on PS4 and Xbox One this coming Sept. 6. Folks on the PC side will receive the game on Oct. 24. However, Activision is jacking up excitement already with the reveal of Destiny 2‘s launch trailer.

Gamers who want to check out the new trailer can do so below. This year’s game will feature a full campaign and story, a feature many wanted in the first game. It’ll be great to see how Bungie’s ability to story tell comes to life when Destiny 2 launches in a few weeks.

“Humanity has fallen. Villainous Dominus Ghaul has arrived on Earth with his Red Legion army to lay claim to the power he believes he alone is worthy to wield. Rally with the remaining survivors and rise up to defeat Ghaul before all is lost,” Activision wrote.

From a campaign standpoint, a number of activities await those who are willing to venture outside of the campaign’s main story. Gamers will be able to play solo, co-op and competitively in Destiny 2. Bungie is taking players on a journey to new planets with new species.

Activision has a major few months ahead of themselves with Destiny 2 launching on console this Sept. 6. The PC launch is, of course, Oct. 24. And then once November rolls around, it is Call of Duty season. Sledgehammer Games is delivering their new title, Call of Duty: WWII.

Fans who pre-order Call of Duty: WWII can check out the game prior to launch. A private beta will start this coming Aug. 25 at 10 a.m. PT on PS4. The test will run until Aug. 28, and at some point, it will likely open for all players to join. Things will heat up when Destiny 2 launches this coming Sept. 6 on PS4 and Xbox One, and Oct. 24 on PC. Stick around here at We Write Things for more on Destiny 2.
