Guerrilla Games is the studio behind the famous PlayStation series Killzone. A small handful of iterations have come from Guerrilla over the years, however, their latest release is something far different. Earlier this year, Guerrilla Games released the new open-world game, Horizon Zero Dawn.

The experience is easily one of the best releases seen on PS4 during all of 2017. Its massive and beautiful world captivates players who step into its lands. Fans who wish more epic gameplay was coming down the pike should rejoice as Sony just announced the release date for Horizon Zero Dawn‘s upcoming expansion.

Players will receive Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds this coming Nov. 7. The expansion will release for PS4 Pro and PS4, coincidentally on the same day Xbox One X debuts. Microsoft’s Crackdown 3 is also going to release on this day. While both releases are anticipated, The Frozen Wilds will surely be as well.

Guerrilla Games is taking gamers to the “icy territories to the north,” where a new chapter in Aloy’s journey will be told. Gamers will be able to explore a brand-new part of Horizon Zero Dawn‘s world. Additionally, there will be “new mysteries to uncover and new, highly lethal machines to” battle.

Players can expect to hear more about The Frozen Wilds later this year. Paris Games Week (PGW) is an event that Sony usually attends and it usually delivers a fair amount of news during it. Since this year’s edition of PGW takes place from Nov. 1 through Nov. 5, it’s fair to expect Horizon Zero Dawn news of some sort around this time.

PS4 gamers who decide to pre-order the expansion from the PS Store will receive an exclusive avatar. It is a Horizon Zero Dawn-centric avatar and you can pre-order The Frozen Wilds today. Sony will release Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds this coming Nov. 7 for PS4 Pro and PS4. Stick around here at We Write Things for more on Horizon Zero Dawn.
