Back in 2011, Gearbox Software released the shooter Bulletstorm. Fast forward time close to six years later and the studio is getting ready to re-introduce the game, by way of a remaster. Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition will be a completely remastered experience, particularly for gamers who support 4K gaming.

If you own a platform that can display true 4K, then you might want to think about this one. Gearbox Publishing and People Can Fly are teaming up to bring Full Clip Edition on April 7, 2017. The remaster will arrive on the PS4, Xbox One and PC when it launches.

As is usually the case with most remasters, previously released DLC will be on the remaster. It was also announced that new content will be released for this version as well. Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition has been reimagined “with hi-res textures, increased polygon counts, sterling audio, smoother framerates, and running in up to 4K resolution on PC and PS4 Pro.”

Fans of Duke Nukem should think about prep-ordering the remaster. Gearbox revealed that those who pre-order will be able to play as Duke Nukem. The actor who voices Duke will have voice-over work in the new version. Playing as Duke will replace the game’s original protagonist Grayson Hunt.

The game’s full single-player campaign, score-challenge and co-op multiplayer maps will be included. Some remasters strip the multiplayer modes from the original version, but Bulletstorm isn’t one of them. Head of Gearbox Publishing Steve Gibson spoke about the announcement.

“We are thrilled to be working with People Can Fly to bring Bulletstorm to new audiences and platforms. Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition takes a critically-acclaimed game and adds so much to it with some killer new content, including all the separate add-on packs, and kicking up the presentation to a level that wasn’t possible with technology before. We hope fans of the franchise, both new and old, are going to love this,” Gibson said.

Gamers will be able to get their hands on Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition when it launches April 7, 2017. The game will arrive on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Stick around here at We Write Things for more on Bulletstorm.
