Ubisoft has created some of the most memorable experiences since their inception, and Michel Ancel is responsible for some of those. The developer is currently working on the upcoming PS4 title WiLD, but apparently that’s not all.
Beyond Good & Evil first saw its release back in 2003, but Ubisoft has left the brand alone since then. For a company that is known for creating massive brands and franchises, Beyond Good & Evil hasn’t been one of them.
In the coming months and years though, Beyond Good & Evil could be seeing something new if Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot’s comments are anything to go off of. Guillemot was recently quoted in an interview with GameSpot about what developer Michel Ancel is up to.
“He’s doing two things,” Guillemot said. “He has one game that he is doing as an independent and he’s also working on a game with Ubisoft.” He was asked if the game is something we haven’t heard of and Guillemot added. “Yes. An unannounced game.”
There have been a number of reasons for gamers to believe a new Beyond Good & Evil is on its way. Even today, Michel Ancel teased the game with some new art via Instagram.
Many people were thinking Ubisoft was going to announce Beyond Good & Evil 2 at E3 2016, but they opted to reveal Steep as their major announcement instead. It certainly feels like a new game is coming for the series. Only time will tell if this turns out to be true. Stick around here at We Write Things for more on Ubisoft and Beyond Good & Evil.
